ICE Arrests Once-Deported Undocumented Immigrant In Las Vegas Convicted of Robbery, Insurance Fraud
LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Immigration officials arrested a once-deported undocumented immigrant convicted of robbery and insurance fraud following his release from jail, the 8 News Now Investigators have learned.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) previously deported Elvin Joel Pacheco-Hernandez, 46, of Honduras, in 2015, documents said. Pacheco-Hernandez’s criminal history in Clark County dates back to at least 2007, records said.
In 2011, North Las Vegas police arrested Pacheco-Hernandez for an armed robbery at a convenience store, documents said. Pacheco-Hernandez and two others met a man in the store’s parking lot to transfer iPhones.
In November 2022, prosecutors charged him with insurance fraud and forgery. In that case, Pacheco-Hernandez submitted fraudulent medical records to obtain $60,000 in insurance money, the Nevada Attorney General’s Office said.
